Dambuster Studios
Nottingham, United Kingdom
About
Founded in Nottingham in 1999 as Free Radical Design before becoming Dambuster Studios, the team represents a foundational pillar of British action gaming and animation heritage. The studio achieved massive critical and commercial success with the visually visceral Dead Island 2, set against a sun-drenched Los Angeles backdrop. Its technical team engineered the acclaimed FLESH procedural dismemberment system, combining real-time skin deformation, bone fracture physics, and fluid splatter dynamics.
